About 10KM far from Annecy, at the shore of the lake, the castle is open for visits from the 5th of April until the 11th of November.

The 23rd generation of Menthon that is living in the castle, opens the doors of this ancient place whose secular architecture has been beautifully preserved. Discover the secrets of the castle through guided tours, as well as its exceptional furniture and rooms: be it the half-timbered gallery in the inner courtyard, the chapel, the kitchen and its 15m-high serving hatch that was dug into the rock, the library with its fantastic collection of 12,000 works dated prior to the French Revolution, the Great Hall, the Countess’ room adorned with Aubusson’s tapestry, or the Pilgrims room that used to host pilgrims who stopped by.

Every week-end and bank holidays, the visits are costumed et realized by amateur actors making revive the history of the castle (excepted october and november).

VISITS OF THE VEGETABLE GARDEN
The castle's vegetable garden, orchard and medicinal area can be discovered through a guided group tour, where you will understand their natural functioning according to the principles of permaculture.
